Tap a card to move it to the best place. Tap the stock to deal, or to turn the pile over when it is empty.

How to play Klondike solitaire

The goal is to move all 52 cards onto the four foundations, one per suit, from ace to king. In the seven tableau columns you build down in alternating colors – a red 6 on a black 7. Only a king can go into an empty column.

Tap the stock to turn over cards. When it runs out, tap again to turn the waste pile back over. In draw 1 mode you turn one card at a time; draw 3 is harder.

Tips to win more games

Turn over face-down tableau cards as early as you can. Do not rush cards to the foundations if you still need them to build on. Keep an empty column for a king that frees a long run. And use undo – there is no penalty.

Frequently asked questions

Is every solitaire game winnable?

No. Most Klondike deals can be won with good play, but some cannot be solved at all.

What is the difference between draw 1 and draw 3?

In draw 1 you turn one card from the stock at a time. In draw 3 you turn three and can only play the top one, which is harder.

How do I move cards?

Tap a face-up card and it moves to the best legal place automatically – a foundation if possible, otherwise a tableau column.
